Noun [German]

IPA: /ˈmʊxəl/
Etymology: Seemingly a recent formation (if it should not have been a regionally highly restricted dialect term). Possibly an alternation of Muslim (“Muslim”) or Mohammed, or a general onomatopoeia of Arabic in German ears. The word seems occasionally to be associated with certain styles of clothing and appearance that include bodybuilding; hence possibly related with Muskel (“muscle”). All of these are mere conjectures, however.
