Verb [Serbo-Croatian]

IPA: /nijěːste/, /nijěste/ Forms: nijéste [canonical], nijèste [canonical], није́сте [Cyrillic], нијѐсте [Cyrillic], níste [alternative], néste [alternative]
Etymology: From Proto-Slavic *ne + *este, second-person plural present tense form of *byti. This formation later created *ne jesmъ in the South Slavic vernaculars, which merged to become něste (attested in the 14th century). Because of the yat reflex, něste became rendered as nijeste in Ijekavian speeches.
