Verb [Italian]

IPA: /ˈfat.t͡ʃi/
Rhymes: -attʃi Head templates: {{head|it|verb form}} facci
  1. compound of fa', the second-person singular (tu) imperative form of fare, with ci Tags: compound-of
Sense id: en-facci-it-verb-o9y00M1j Categories (other): Italian entries with incorrect language header, Pages with 2 entries, Pages with entries

Noun [Sicilian]

IPA: /ˈfatt͡ʃi/ Forms: facci [plural]
Etymology: From Latin faciēs. Whatever the reason for the /t͡tʃ/ in this word (cf. the regular azzaru < aciārium), it is in fact universal across southern Italy. That, along with the apparent absence—at least in the 1920's—of a Sicilian variant with final /-a/ (again per the AIS), makes a borrowing from Italian faccia unlikely. Etymology templates: {{inh|scn|la|faciēs}} Latin faciēs, {{cog|it|faccia}} Italian faccia Head templates: {{head|scn|nouns|g=f|g2=|head=facci}} facci f, {{scn-noun|facc|f|i|i}} facci f (plural facci)
  1. face Tags: feminine Categories (topical): Body parts Derived forms: affacciari, affacciatu, facciata, facciola, facciolu
Sense id: en-facci-scn-noun-AoLZt59C Categories (other): Pages with 2 entries, Pages with entries, Sicilian entries with incorrect language header Related terms: facc' 'i buttana, facc' 'i minchia, senza facci, aricchia, carcagnu, coscia, coḍḍu, culu, denti, dinocchiu, gùvitu, jamma, jargia, manu, mentu, occhiu, panza, pedi, spaḍḍa, testa, viḍḍicu, vrazzu
