"hōkīn" meaning in Proto-West Germanic

See hōkīn in All languages combined, or Wiktionary

Noun

Etymology: From *hōk (“buck, goat”) + *-īn (diminutive ending). According to Kroonen, borrowed from a non-Indo-European substrate language. Possibly cognate with Proto-Slavic *kozà (e.g. Russian коза́ (kozá, “goat”), Serbo-Croatian ко̀за (“goat”) and Old Church Slavonic коза (koza, “goat”)), however common Indo-European inheritance is impossible due to the absence of application of Winter's law in the Slavic forms. Compare also Albanian kedh (“kid”).
