"Հռիփսիմէ" meaning in Old Armenian

See Հռիփսիմէ in All languages combined, or Wiktionary

Proper name

Etymology: As suggested by Agatʻangełos, a derivative of Ancient Greek ῥίπτω ~ ῥίψ- (rhíptō ~ rhíps-, “to throw away”)․ Probably a name for an abandoned child, formed with the adjectival suffix -ιμος (-imos). Compare Ancient Greek ἀπο-ῤῥίψιμος (apo-rrhípsimos, “that should be thrown away”) and substantivized Byzantine Greek ῥίψιμον (rhípsimon, “excrement”). Other given names from this Greek base: Ϝριψίδας (Wripsídas), Ῥιψό-λαος (Rhipsó-laos). First borne by the Roman virgin St. Rhipsime martyred in Armenia. In the Middle Ages confused with the unrelated name Հոռոմ (Hoṙom), which lead to hybrids like Հոռոմսիմ (Hoṙomsim), etc. Etymology templates: {{xlit|xcl|Ագաթանգեղոս}} Agatʻangełos, {{bor|xcl|grc|ῥίπτω|ῥίπτω ~ ῥίψ-|to throw away}} Ancient Greek ῥίπτω ~ ῥίψ- (rhíptō ~ rhíps-, “to throw away”), {{cog|grc|ἀποῤῥίψιμος|ἀπο-ῤῥίψιμος|t=that should be thrown away}} Ancient Greek ἀπο-ῤῥίψιμος (apo-rrhípsimos, “that should be thrown away”), {{cog|gkm|ῥίψιμον||excrement}} Byzantine Greek ῥίψιμον (rhípsimon, “excrement”) Head templates: {{head|xcl|proper noun|cat2=|g=|head=}} Հռիփսիմէ • (Hṙipʻsimē), {{xcl-proper noun}} Հռիփսիմէ • (Hṙipʻsimē) Inflection templates: {{xcl-decl-noun-unc|Հռիփսիմէ|11=Հռիփսիմեաւ|13=Հռիփսիմէ|3=Հռիփսիմեայ|5=Հռիփսիմեայ|7=Հռիփսիմէ|9=Հռիփսիմեայ|note=|type=a-type}} Forms: Hṙipʻsimē [romanization], no-table-tags [table-tags], Հռիփսիմէ [nominative, singular, uncountable], Հռիփսիմեայ [genitive, singular, uncountable], Հռիփսիմեայ [dative, singular, uncountable], Հռիփսիմէ [accusative, singular, uncountable], Հռիփսիմեայ [ablative, singular, uncountable], Հռիփսիմեաւ [instrumental, singular, uncountable], Հռիփսիմէ [locative, singular, uncountable]
