The form moderor was presumably built on a neuter s-stem noun derived from Proto-Indo-European *med- (“to measure”) + *-os (noun-forming suffix), whose existence is also indirectly attested by the -es- found in modestus.",

The form moderor was presumably built on a neuter s-stem noun derived from Proto-Indo-European *med- (“to measure”) + *-os (noun-forming suffix), whose existence is also indirectly attested by the -es- found in modestus.",
