"text": "There was a path that led from mux̣ʷšiƛ̓a to ʔapsuḥta (“where the trail ends”) at the village of ʕupnit. ʕupnit, meaning “place where it is always calm”, was the primary village of the maańuʔisʔatḥ people, who constituted one of the five local groups - the other four being ʕuc̓uusʔatḥ, ʕaḥuusʔatḥ, qiłcmaʕatḥ and qʷaacwiiʔatḥ - who came under the protection of the ʕaḥuusʔatḥ following the ʕaḥuusʔatḥ-ʕucuusʔatḥ war in the 1800s and would later amalgamate to form the ʕaḥuusʔatḥ Nation as it exists today.",
