Noun [Hindi]

IPA: /bʱɔ̃ːɦ/ [Delhi-Hindi], [bʱɔ̃ːʱ] [Delhi-Hindi]
Etymology: Inherited from Sauraseni Apabhramsa भोहा and Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀪𑀉𑀳𑀸 (bhaühā), 𑀪𑀉𑀫𑁆𑀳𑀸 f (bhaümhā), 𑀪𑀫𑀼𑀳 n (bhamuha). The origin of this is the same as that of Pali bhamuka m, bhamukha, bhamu, and Buddhist Hybrid Sanskrit भ्रुमुख (bhrumukha) and भ्रमु (bhramu), ultimately from Sanskrit *भ्रुमु (bhrumu) with influence from मुख n (mukha, “face”) (whence 𑀫𑀼𑀳 n (muha)) and dissimilation of u-u to a-u. *भ्रुमु (bhrumu) is either from a folk etymology relation with भ्रम् (bhram) or dissimilation of uva to uma in भ्रुव (bhruva), a compounding/alternative form of भ्रू (bhrū), from Proto-Indo-Iranian *HbʰrúHs, from Proto-Indo-European *h₃bʰrúHs. "etymology_text": "Inherited from Sauraseni Apabhramsa भोहा and Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀪𑀉𑀳𑀸 (bhaühā), 𑀪𑀉𑀫𑁆𑀳𑀸 f (bhaümhā), 𑀪𑀫𑀼𑀳 n (bhamuha). *भ्रुमु (bhrumu) is either from a folk etymology relation with भ्रम् (bhram) or dissimilation of uva to uma in भ्रुव (bhruva), a compounding/alternative form of भ्रू (bhrū), from Proto-Indo-Iranian *HbʰrúHs, from Proto-Indo-European *h₃bʰrúHs.",
