Etymology: Compare Proto-Katuic *tɛʔ (“to have sexual intercourse”) (whence Ngeq tɛʔ). Semantically, compare English fuck all. The regularly corresponded Vietnamese form would be the less common đách, with đếch arose through euphemism then became the dominant form. The form đế developed further by dropping final consonant as euphemism, which then again becoming vulgar.
