"opingë" meaning in Albanian

See opingë in All languages combined, or Wiktionary

Noun

Etymology: From Proto-Albanian *api + *ga, *api also giving rise to hap (“step”). Related to hap (“open”). According to Orel, from Proto-Slavic *ob(ъ)pьnъkъ (“sandal, shoe”), comparing Serbo-Croatian opanak, though differences between the Gheg and Tosk forms may suggest otherwise; as per Fortson, a Proto-Albanian origin is supported due to the held view that the two dialects split prior to Slavic contact. Compare Romanian opincă.
