IPA: /ˈfɛɾɛxəɾ/, /ˈfɛɾaxəɾ/ Forms: no-table-tags [table-tags], Fearchar [mutation, mutation-radical], Fhearchar [lenition, mutation]
Etymology: A proto-Celtic form *Ver-caro-s has been reconstructed. The first element may be related to modern Gaelic fìor 'true', or to modern Gaelic fear 'man' (cf. Fergus).
