  1. 和菓子の一つ。米粉や小麦粉の水で溶いたものを加熱して皮を作り、小豆餡をくるんで桜の葉で巻いたもの。関西風のものは道明寺粉を蒸した皮を用いるため、道明寺ともよばれる。関東風のものは小麦粉に少量の白玉粉、砂糖を加えて焼いた皮を用い、その発祥地から長命寺(餅)とも呼ばれる。
