"text": "Categories of crenophytes: (1) obligatory crenophytes (OCs), i.e. species occurring exclusively in the springs; (2) facultative crenophytes (FCs), i.e. species that find the best growth conditions in the spring areas but can also occur outside; OCs and FCs together are named proper crenophytes (PCs); (3) indifferent crenophytes (ICs), which tolerate the spring conditions but find optimum conditions outside these areas; (4) accidental crenophytes (ACs), which avoid spring areas but sometimes “enter” them from neighbouring habitats."
