"-tta-" meaning in Proto-Finnic

See -tta- in All languages combined, or Wiktionary

Infix

Etymology: From the causative suffix *-ttadak. The suffix with a short *t instead of geminate *tt is later analogy from the first infinitive ending (*-dak, *-t'ak) on which the passive ending *-hen was directly affixed, and also in part from regular simplification of consonant clusters.
