"stramen" meaning in Latin

See stramen in All languages combined, or Wiktionary

Noun

IPA: [ˈstraː.mɛn] [Classical-Latin], [ˈstraː.men] (note: modern Italianate Ecclesiastical)
Etymology: Given the existence of parallel formations in Sanskrit स्तरी॑मन् (stárīman) and Ancient Greek στρῶμα (strôma), it may derive from Proto-Italic *strāmen, from Proto-Indo-European *stérh₃mn̥ (“that which is strewn; bedding”), from the root *sterh₃- (“to spread, scatter, strew”) + *-mn̥ (deverbal abstract noun–forming suffix). However, the EIEC suggests that these formations may be independent, but parallel innovations. For the root, compare English strew, straw and Latin storea, strāges and torus.
