"sevandilia" meaning in Latin

Noun

IPA: /seβanˈdiʎa/ Forms: sevandīlia [canonical, feminine], sevandīliās [plural]
Etymology: Of pre-Roman origin. Perhaps borrowed from a Proto-Basque *seguandelea, metathesis of *suge-andere-a (“female snake”), whence Basque suge-kandera ~ suge-kandela (“small lizard”, Lapurdian and Roncalese dialects). A purely Latin etymology *serpenticula has also been suggested, but this runs into too many phonetic difficulties to take seriously.
