"taa" meaning in Gagauz

Adverb

IPA: /tɑː/
Etymology: From earlier *daha, from Old Anatolian Turkish دَاخِی (daḫi), دَخِی (daḫi), from Proto-Turkic *takï, whence also da and dä. The irregular devoicing of the initial /d/ may be explained as an attempt at avoiding homophony with daa (“mountain”). Compare Turkish daha, de, da, dahi; Azerbaijani daha, də, da and archaic dəxi.
