Noun

IPA: /t͡ʃo.mak/
Etymology: Compare Choctaw hakchoma, Alabama hakchomma, Koasati hakchommi. No cognate can be found in the Northern Muskogean languages, see for example the non-cognate Creek hece. This has lead Broadwell to argue that the split between Northern and Southern Muskogean must have been somewhere between 70 and 290 AD (after the introduction of tobacco to what is now the Southeastern United States) Etymology templates: {{cog|cho|hakchoma}} Choctaw hakchoma, {{cog|akz|hakchomma}} Alabama hakchomma, {{cog|cku|hakchommi}} Koasati hakchommi, {{cog|mus|hece}} Creek hece Head templates: {{head|cic|noun|alienable|cat2=alienable nouns}} chomak (alienable) Forms: no-table-tags [table-tags], anchomak [first-person, possessive, singular], an-chomak [first-person, possessive, singular], ponchomak [first-person, plural, possessive], pon-chomak [first-person, plural, possessive], haponchomak [first-person, inclusive, possessive, tri-plural], hapon-chomak [first-person, inclusive, possessive, tri-plural], chinchomak [possessive, second-person, singular], chin-chomak [possessive, second-person, singular], hachinchomak [plural, possessive, second-person], hachinchomak [possessive, second-person, tri-plural], hachin-chomak [plural, possessive, second-person], hachin-chomak [possessive, second-person, tri-plural], inchomak [possessive, third-person], in-chomak [possessive, third-person]
