Noun [Indonesian]

IPA: /ˈmansɛt/ Forms: mansetku [first-person, possessive], mansetmu [possessive, second-person], mansetnya [possessive, third-person]
Etymology: Borrowed from Dutch manchet, from French manchette. The first four senses are an extension of compound manset lengan (“lit. arm manchette”), introduced first likely on mid-2010s to refer tight detachable sleeves with a short-sleeved T-shirt when combined with veils, and later also to refer base layers (both male and female). The original sense "cuff" is quickly displaced by the current meaning.
