Noun [Turkish]

Etymology: A word found in languages of the Black Sea's southeastern shore and deeper inland in the northwest of the Armenian Highland, namely Laz The origin is uncertain. Often explained as Laz (“Laz”) + otu (“grass”), because corn was supposedly spread by Laz sailors, but this is a folk etymology.
