Adjective [Albanian]

IPA: [ˈdɔbət] Forms: i dobët [canonical]
Etymology: From dialectal i udobë (“easy”), from a South Slavic language, compare Old Church Slavonic удобь (udobĭ, “easy”) and Serbo-Croatian udoban (“comfortable”); ultimately from Proto-Slavic *dobъ (“good, well, nice”). Orel describes it as derived from an earlier dobë, whence dobi (“benefit”), borrowed into Albanian from a South Slavic language, and ultimately derived from Proto-Slavic *dobъ, which itself is not attested South Slavic, where *dobrъ is widespread.
