"-այք" meaning in All languages combined

See -այք on Wiktionary

Suffix [Old Armenian]

Forms: -aykʻ [romanization]
Etymology: From -այ (-ay) + -ք (-kʻ). The element -այ (-ay) has different origins: in Iranian borrowings it preserves the stem-vowel -a, e.g. իշխանայք (išxanaykʻ), աշխարհայք (ašxarhaykʻ); in Classical Syriac borrowings it reflects the Classical Syriac ܐ- (-ā) (status emphaticus), e.g. խանութայք (xanutʻaykʻ), հռիտորայք (hṙitoraykʻ), պրակսաւաթայք (praksawatʻaykʻ). Probably influenced by the ending of կանայք (kanaykʻ). Etymology templates: {{suffix|xcl||ք}} + -ք (-kʻ) Head templates: {{head|xcl|suffix|head=|sort=այք|tr=}} -այք • (-aykʻ), {{xcl-suffix|sort=այք}} -այք • (-aykʻ)
