"𐓷𐓘𐓮𐓰𐓚́𐓤𐓟" meaning in All languages combined

See 𐓷𐓘𐓮𐓰𐓚́𐓤𐓟 on Wiktionary

Noun [Osage]

Forms: wastÁĮke [Latin, character], 𐓮𐓰𐓘̄𐓡𐓣́͘𐓤𐓟 [alternative], 𐓮𐓰𐓘͘𐓵𐓣́͘𐓤𐓟 [alternative]
Etymology: From 𐓷𐓘- (valence reducer prefix) + 𐓮𐓰𐓘̄𐓡𐓣́͘𐓤𐓟; the latter from Proto-Dhegiha *sta(r)įke, itself likely from a Proto-Mississipi-Valley compound *sta + *į́ke (with neither part of the compound identified). The *-r- here appears to be epenthetic. The term might have originated in one southern Siouan language and then diffused to others, or was borrowed from an unidentified substrate language, due to the scattered distribution of the cognates and many phonological irregularities between them. Compare Kansa stáⁿyiⁿge, stóⁿiⁿge, Quapaw staną́ke (“persimmon fruit”), staną́hi (“persimmon tree”) and Biloxi stiįki.
