The term is also attested as a borrowing in Coptic ⲃⲉⲗϩⲱⲗ (belhōl), ⲃⲉϩⲱⲗ (behōl, “date-palm”). Additionally, compare possibly Soqotri حباله (ḥəbéľe, “tamarind”), which may be related through metathesis.",
